What a day~
Iri for Alice-chan was 8:30AM. Learned that she rehearsed the Paris number today, and Micchan has taken Tomu's spot in that scene (when I thought it would go to Tomochin!). Alice-chan didn't remember who would be singing "Malaguena" in Micchan's place (I felt embarrassed for asking her questions unrelated to herself anyway).

F.M-san was also there, and when she asked who picks on Alice-chan's character in the pub, Alice-chan said "it's a secret". O_O??? Now I'm *really* wondering what to expect from this Berubara...

After iri, spent about an hour in MisDo catching up with F.M-san. <3 She laughed really hard when I said some people were rumoring Kiriyan for Elisabeth. Her personal guess is that the role will be split between two musumeyaku but neither of us want to see Shizuku in that white dress.

When the shops opened at 10AM, F.M-san went to run some errands and I went to Takarazuka An to meet up with ohtori_tsuki.

On the way there, I passed by Kimi-kun.

o_o ... ;________;

I wonder if she's going to move out of that apartment building now or not...

*sighs* ...

Anyway. Taka-An has now become VERY SHINY after its remodeling. Everything is so sparkly white! And organized! And they gave us 100-yen-off coupons! Taka-An spoils include:

- Seven stage photos, like Zunko!Death and Wao x Hana in Boxman and ALICE-CHAN AS JULIET OH YES.

- MON BIJOU OH YES OH YES. I had actually already made my purchases and we were walking out and I said "wait! I remembered there's one more thing I always check for in An!" AND IT WAS THERE.

- WAO'S SECOND CONCERT DVD it only took me a year and a half to buy it, I know. >.>;;; BUT SQUEE. <333333333

- A packet -- not just one -- a *packet* of Anju pictures from the free box, one of which features Anju-sensei (I don't think of her as "Yan-san" anymore ^^;;;) in THE lowest-cut shirt I have EVER seen. Manda, Maureen and I stared in amazement at it for several minutes.

But before there was Manda, there was a visit to Sakae-ya as well. I finally worked up the nerve to ask about backordering photos and found it to be... extremely easy and painless. ^_^;;; That means Mariposa pics for you, violet_tango! <3 And the lady was all talkative and asked if we were students and praised our Japanese, etc. :3

Then... oh, then I got to teach Maureen how to drop off a present at the stage door. ;D And she was all flustered and forgot how to write one of the kanji in Hinatan's name and the nice men at reception helped her out. X3

Then we watched Asuka and Touko iri *____* <333 ;____; <3333

After that... oh, yes, chirashi GET for Zorro and Saudade. :D Having dropped a lot of money already, I managed to resist the temptations of QR but Maureen did not. ;P That was the end of our shopping, though, and we sat down on the couches and oohed and ahhed over Mon Bijou until Manda finally showed up. Then we oohed and ahhed over Mon Bijou and other things some more. 8D

Eventually there was lunch at the little okonomiyaki-ya "Mai", which had OSK chirashi, and the lady working there showed us a reijou from Ouka Noboru. Her handwriting is near-illegible. XDDD;; There was also much fangirly chatter. <3

And then...? We wandered? We made sure Manda got Saudade chirashi too. We peeked into the Magical 7-11 for snacks, but there was nothing good and no magical 'sienne encounters, so we went to "Puchi House" so Maureen could drop off some things and go with the lady to get tickets.

Ahaha. I forgot to mention that Maureen was conspicuously dressed in Japanese garb, with hakama and heeled boots and sunglasses. So there we were walking in two rows, Maureen and Puchi House Lady in front and me and Manda behind, and I said it was exactly like we were doing irimachi. (Especially since people kept turning to stare at our "star". X3) So then Manda and I couldn't stop giggling all the way to Bow Hall, and we joked that someone should be carrying Maureen's bags. ;P

Puchi House Lady got tickets from Kimu's club (nice!), which is called Otozukigumi (LOL!), and we stalled a little more and then let Maureen go in to see Wasureyuki. Meanwhile Manda and I wandered again, bought stationery, squee'd at TMS babies (some of whom were in quite a hurry to get somewhere!), had tea (or a melon soda float in Manda's case) and at some point migrated to the couches. From the partly-cloudy skies huge flurries of snow whirled by for a time, but it wasn't cold enough for the snow to actually settle.

Maureen came and chatted with us during intermission; afterward I nearly fell asleep on the couch, but Manda woke me up so we could go to An because she hadn't seen it yet. Cue more shopping (well, only in Manda's case this time).

After the show Maureen had a present she wanted to give to Kimu, so we asked around the people in blue scarves lined up outside... But it turns out Kimu's ochakai was today so she had no demachi. T____T;;; So we all went to Round One and sang three straight hours of nothing but 'Zuka songs. <3 IT WAS SO AWESOME but my throat hurts now. ^^;;;

FINALLY, we had dinner at Shirokiya (everything else was closed / closing >.>;;;) and in between many explanations of fanclub workings and tales of onstage mishaps, I discovered that Maureen is MY KINDRED SPIRIT because we both share a bizarre penchant for making origami cranes out of foil wrappers. THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE, BUT FATE!!! Maureen understands, like me, that every candy wrapper is really a crane waiting to be born. ;) <3

Maureen walked us to the station and there was a brief worry that Manda had missed her last train (it was close to 11PM), but everything turned out fine except the part where we had to say goodbye to Maureen. :(

I'm thinking of going to iri on Tuesday so I can see her one more time. <3

ALICE-CHAN AS JULIET OH YES.
Wait, whut?

it was exactly like we were doing irimachi
That's AWESOME XDDD

Otozukigumi
LMAO!! I vote that the mascot be a monkey XDD

I'm jealous. I haven't properly experienced snow yet. *pouts*

And I LOL'd at yours and Maureen's penchant for making cranes out of foil wrappers - I usually make 'em out of napkins or the paper chopstick wrapper-things.

There were several plays within the play that was Understudy, and one of them was Romeo and Juliet. :)

Maybe the Otozukigumi mascot IS a monkey; you never know!

Flurries of snow were nice to look at, but that's enough for me. Snow is cold and wet! :P

Oh! Is that where your icon is from? I've always wondered~

I've always been in tropical weather; here (Florida) is the coldest place I've lived in XD

I make cranes out of every piece of paper larger than a postage stamp that is left unattended in my vicinity for long enough to tear into a square. It's kind of a problem, actually. Once I did it to an opera ticket before I'd actually gone in, entirely without noticing what I was doing, and then had to unfold the ticket, match up the bits, and explain to the ticket lady what had happened. Not really my finest moment, honestly.

My discovery of kindred spirits continues! :D! I would never rip up a ticket (before or after a show ;D), but in general I can relate to the situation of finding myself making cranes "out of every piece of paper larger than a postage stamp that is left unattended in my vicinity". ^^

My favorite one is the story I was repeating to Maureen. When Jen was here and we were all sitting around chatting as we waited for demachi, Jen opened up a piece of chocolate and I was like "can I... can I have it? Not the chocolate, the wrapper!" I didn't want her to throw away that potential baby crane. XD

I was also amused once when I had down time at work and was talking to another teacher whom I'd just met. I had brought proper origami paper to amuse myself with in case there was down time, and I was half-listening as I chatted with this girl and half-focusing on folding. She must have had no idea what I was doing until the crane blossomed in my hands, and then she was all surprised and impressed and asked me to show her how to make one. X3

SAKAE-YA LADIES! I LOVE THEM! <3

Then we watched Asuka and Touko iri

*whimper* I never have and therefore never will go to Touko okeiko iride. :(

so we went to "Puchi House"

PUCHI HOUSE! <3

was conspicuously dressed in Japanese garb

Ah, this reminds me of going placed with Lucia and being her Retinue. <3 <3 <3

every candy wrapper is really a crane waiting to be born

You're adorable. <3

Ah, this whole post makes me nostalgic and fills me with longing... :)

45 more days... Just 45 more days...

Her personal guess is that the role will be split between two musumeyaku but neither of us want to see Shizuku in that white dress.

*winces at the entire idea* I was looking at the TakaWiki the other day, and Hankyu seems to only give Elisabeth to musumeyaku who have been top for at least several shows *shrug*

Oooh, thank you for the scoop! I'm not sure how I feel about this. As someone who will only be watching this show on DVD, I'm basically trading in one cut scene for another, and I thought Paris was really bland to begin with. That being said, I'm certainly not going to complain about Micchan getting such a big number. Plus I think this is the first time (besides the rockette in "I Love Chopin") that Micchan and Alice-chan have been paired together, so we can do joint fangirling <3 <3 <3 <3

I miss fangirling around the Mura. But I'm really glad to hear that you guys are having fun <3

*giggles hysterically* Oh my god Julie this post is so full of win on so many levels. Alice! Mon Bijou! Kimu! FOIL CRANES OMG I DO THIS ALL THE TIME! Ouka's hilarious handwriting! <3333333333

btw, your email from yesterday made my day in ways I can't even tell you.

You have no idea how many sorts of jealous I am! Waaaah... I miss putzing around the mura with Maureen. And I would have liked to meet up with you and Manda!

Haha, for Ai to Shi no Arabia, Maureen and I both wore kimono and hakama. It was great ^^ But I loooove that that you guys looked like you were doing iri! hahahahaha

Heh, when Maureen told me about dropping off the present at the stage doors and about yesterday being the day of Kimu's ochakai, I thought "ooh, who has been talking to Maureen and teaching her the magical workings of the mura?" Hah, now I know!

XD You totally should have.

Ooh, I want to check out the shiny remodeled Taka-An!

...neither of us want to see Shizuku in that white dress.

I didn't, really, just because I thought she was a bit too young at the moment, but the more people say this, the more I want her to get it and be absolutely brilliant and just blow everyone away.
Julie: kazu thinkwao_wao on January 12th, 2009 03:38 am (UTC)
You know, if she blows me away I will take back what I've said about her. I'd much rather be impressed and see her succeed than be disappointed.
arlecchinic on January 12th, 2009 04:20 am (UTC)
If she doesn't get it, people will say, "Thank God they didn't put Arisa in the white dress." If she does get it, which I don't imagine for a moment she actually will, no matter how hard she tries, and no matter how much she improves, it's not going to be enough for everyone, because it's not just a challenging role, it's ELISABETH!!! and everyone has their own ideas about how strong she should be, how this song should be sung, how that emotion should be shown, and, see, I thought Tonami was pretty much perfect, but it seems most people don't agree with me.

It's a no-win situation, basically.
Our Heroine aka Jenn: [grrr argh]kyttenfae on January 12th, 2009 09:45 am (UTC)
.... People don't like Tonami's Elisabeth? *boggles* I don't understand.
Julie: hana elisabeth whitewao_wao on January 12th, 2009 01:11 pm (UTC)
Re: Shizuku, I know it is kind of a no-win situation, I'm sorry. :(

Re: Tonami, it's nothing against her specifically, it's just that everything O-Hana has done cannot be topped by anyone else in my heart. ^__^;;; But Maureen certainly thinks that Mizu and Tonami were the best!
Our Heroine aka Jenn: [squee!]kyttenfae on January 12th, 2009 09:46 am (UTC)
So much adorableness! I'm so glad you got Juliet!Alice! <333333 And Mon Bijou. And saw darling Kimi-kun!

*massive love*
