96ths info is all up on the Wiki
In the category of "Ranma-kun continues to make me shake my head":

Dear Yurie, my Google-fu does not return anything that gives me a clue as to what 「Angel Love」のメープルシー could possibly be. Maple what?!

This is going to plague me until someone explains to me what it is >__<;; (Or, god forbid, it's a typo...)

General trends of the 96th class:

An overwhelming number of the girls enjoy having nabe parties together (I chose to translate it as "potlucks"). Also, green-tea-flavored things seem to be rather popular. And their mothers' / fathers' / grandmothers' cooking.

Oh, and several of the otokoyaku have collections of belts.

There isn't a lot of originality in "roles I'd like to try playing" -- even the ones who said "a role with individuality" don't really impress me -- but props to Kano Maria for wanting to play Young Rudolph, and Takuto Rei for saying Raoul Balain from A/L ;D ♥

As for smaller groups of things in common, Kisaki Airi and the aforementioned Maria like to be different and have surprise parties for their classmates. :P

Chiyuki Aki and Gojou Marina both collect power stones.

Bizarrely, each set of girls tends to be really close to each other in grade order. Miou Erina and Karen Emiri, right next to each other in Otome, both said they collect "purple things".

Kazuki Sora and Sakihi Miyu are both good at short-distance running (would you call that "sprinting"?), but they're the farthest apart from each other in the line-up.

Individual things of note:

The above Yurie/Ranma, Miss Thing, wants to play Don Lockwood and Aida. I realized this is because she's a Touko fan. And she collects Legos X3

Continuing with the Song for Kingdoms theme, Shiratori Yuriya wants to play Amneris. Also, she lists classical ballet AND tap dancing as special talents. Huh, why doesn't she have higher grades, then?

Hayaki Yuuto's hobby is "frolicking with my dog". Not just playing. Frolicking. *smirks* (Machi Yuuka's "playing with my dog" is boring by comparison, but then again she also likes wandering in bookstores.)

Souya Tomoki collects Alice in Wonderland things. That's cute, Tomoki, even if it's a difficult topic for me.

Risaki Shigure collects eco-bags. An environmentally conscious girl. ;)

As for Girls Who Can Actually Do Things, Harumi Yuu (10th in the class) plays the shamisen AND lists Japanese dance as a special talent -- she was the one with the buyou solo in bunkasai.

Setohana Mari lists Awa-Odori, but I don't know if it's as useful a talent...

I'm sure there were more little amusing things, but my brain is kind of wiped from all that wiki-ing.

My googling suggests that Maple Sea (and Maple Story) is some sort of online game. And Angel Love is a PS3 game (http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/rpg/angelloveonline/index.html?tag=result%3Btitle%3B0) So you probably have a gaming geek. :-)

Oh I found quite a lot of the online game stuff, I assure you.

BUT SHE SAYS IT'S A FOOD. @_______@

My other guess would be a short version of the katakana for Maple Syrup.

That was my best guess too, but syrup is シロップ -- I think that's the only official romanization so... >.>;;;

Maybe there is game related candy?
Maybe she changes it next year. ;-)

Maybe it's an abbreviation? Japanese people like shortening words. Like McDonalds :D How many versions are there for that in Japanese? (LOL)
But then I know absolutely nothing ^_^;;

And a musumeyaku who isn't taller than me!! Just... about the same! XD (Gojou Marina)

Okay, I'll take that one.
