Well, fine then.
I leave for a few hours and the internet explodes with news. :P

Kimu top! Yep, yep. That was the right thing to happen.

No musumeyaku top! That means a transfer. Whine.

Tomu concert! "Rising!!" I like the sound of this. A lot. >:D >:D >:D

And Tomomin Bow! Shocking! Never have I heard of a Bow announced so suddenly?! Also, it's about a guy who writes music. WAIT, WE ALREADY DID ONE LIKE THAT. :P

I do like the 96ths being added to the Romeo & Juliette cast, though :D Go, go, Otosaki Itsuki and Kisaki Airi! ♥

NEW SKY FAIRIES actually my biggest Sky Fairy squee is Kijou Mitsuru XD ♥ That Tsukigumi sweetie with the lisp. DOING NEWS. *loves*

Not-so-love is Riku Sky Fairy -- okay this is not Riku-bashing, seriously, it's that THEY BROKE TRADITION ;______; We always had a douki combi, unlike other troupes where most of the time the two Sky Fairies were from different classes :( No more douki combis for me? :(

Also, no one posted about Tom's art exhibition thing but it looks like she's doing another one.

Are you sure about that? I always got the impression that Hankyu tends to announce musumeyaku top stars a little later than otokoyaku top stars.
Even if, I'll pray now for Mimi and keep hoping that it will be her. :)

I'm still rather curious in terms of Nibante... I don't really see Chigi jumping that far so soon, and if Kitarou would have had any lead so far at all, I would be so sure that she'd be chosen... and if there should be a transfer, it would most likely have to be someone who's either 85th or 86th class... hm.
Anyway, I love my kumi. :DDDD
Julie: ume-chan yvette drunkwao_wao on May 28th, 2010 07:59 am (UTC)
Chie & Nene = both in Hoshigumi = announced together.

Yuuhi & Sumika = both transfers = announced together.

Kiriyan & Marimo = separate troupes = announced separately.

Ume-chan was also announced separately, and Asuka, but I don't remember about Tonami...
Es ist Zeit zu Leben.: Kimu // on a wall.violet_tango on May 28th, 2010 08:07 am (UTC)
Tonami was announced later than Mizu, at least one month I think. But she was in another kumi back then.
Hm... frankly said, I guess I will just ignore the chance that it might be anyone else and still go with Mimi.
:D

I, on the other hand, think you just proved my point. ^^;;;
Es ist Zeit zu Leben.: Kaname // in your finaleviolet_tango on May 28th, 2010 08:13 am (UTC)
It's simply the fact that I WANT Mimi, and that's what counts for me.
Sometimes things are handled another way. And if it should not be Mimi... I'll be 'meh', I'll definitely be. But no matter what, it will be awesome, because it's my kumi. And Yukigumi = awesome is a law of nature. :D
Julie: chigi nishikiewao_wao on May 28th, 2010 08:19 am (UTC)
I definitely wanted it to be Mimi simply for the sake of the natural order and NOT messing with other troupes.

But even as I accept a transfer top as an inevitability now, I look around and ask, "who's even left, Hankyuu?" :S

As far as Chigi nibante... If Masaki and Mirio could do it, then Chigi can. I mean, I guess they could transfer someone, but I REALLY don't want to think about that.
Es ist Zeit zu Leben.: Chigi // is a rainbow.violet_tango on May 28th, 2010 08:29 am (UTC)
I want it to be Mimi, because Mimi is awesome. :P

...I would like Hankyu to give Kitarou something like that special performance lead Komu got, and then finally give in to her being so much in the spotlight anyway.
What I think would be kind of nice -given no transfers- would be a double nibante with Chigi and Koma.
The only person who's fitting in terms of age to be transfered in as nibante without pushing anyone out of their positions would be Kaname or Morie. But in terms of having happy girl, I would prefer Kaname to stay with Hoshigumi. And while I doubt Hankyu would chose Morie for that, the though alone is funny enough. :D
Julie: alice windowwao_wao on May 28th, 2010 08:43 am (UTC)
*glances at schedule* I suppose they've got just enough time to transfer Kaname back after R&J and have her do another Bow lead... But they don't usually set up a new top+nibante and then separate them after only a year...

Oh wait, they did that with Yuuhi. :\ I still don't think it'll happen to Kaname though.

I like the idea of Chigi-Koma double nibante, that makes me smile. :)

Douki nibante special! ♥ I could accept that too.

Haruko's been getting this sudden push?
Julie: ayahana chika obscurewao_wao on May 29th, 2010 12:30 am (UTC)
True. But I think her push indicates "because we don't have anyone else right now" and not "we're going to make you top". T____T;;;
Tiger: ranju tomu → is shinymuirin on May 28th, 2010 08:23 am (UTC)
Yes *fist pump* For once things are going according to plan ;)
Kimu is a well-deserved top I think and I've got "worried" about Tomu for a bit. I'm so done with top transfers at the moment. So I hope the best for Yukigumi's next musumeyaku top.

... and since I'm naturally too concerned & worried about Tomu, that concert title makes my day. Gah, Hankyu, don't get my hopes up.

KIMU! ♥ I'm just crossing my fingers that she'll get a worthy musumeyaku partner.
Katelynhappy_riceball on May 28th, 2010 02:36 pm (UTC)
Kimu! ♥ I'm relieved. Worried about transfer musumeyaku though. :/

I'm now terribly curious about nibante. Roles have not been going by ranking, and if we go by postcards, it's Chigi... but Koma was given more stage time in Solferino/Carnevale. I don't get you, Hankyu. (I also don't get the overlooking of Hiromi.)

Tomu concert! More wonderful news to wake up to! ♥
Julie: chigi nishikiewao_wao on May 28th, 2010 03:28 pm (UTC)
...but Koma was given more stage time in Solferino/Carnevale.

Really, you thought so? I mean I know Koma had a singing part, but Chigi had all the baton-twirling and the drag bit in the revue. When they sang together on the ginkyou, I thought they were pretty equal.

For the record, though, I think postcards say a lot.

I also don't get the overlooking of Hiromi.

That, unfortunately, seems to have been the plan all along with her transfer to Yukigumi. :\

But Tomu concert ♥ ♥ ♥
Katelyn: Are you thinking...happy_riceball on May 28th, 2010 03:40 pm (UTC)
It's possible I only thought so because (Mizu aside) Koma is my current favorite Yukigumi 'sienne, so I was looking at her a lot. *laughs* Chigi could have been on stage just as much, but my eyes were elsewhere. I let her baton twirling slip my mind. You're right. Thinking without a bias, they were pretty equal.

Oh, that drag scene. ♥ They made the best faces.

Beth Winterbwinter on May 28th, 2010 04:11 pm (UTC)
The Tomu concert sounds wonderful :) Especially since it's got a pretty long run. (And hey, should be out on DVD by November.)

I do wonder about Yukigumi's new nibante. Chigi (who I haven't seen in anything) would seem to be the one most promoted, but a lot of people on other LJs comment that they'd rather not have it be her...

I hope that's not what you base your opinions on ;______; I understand that Yukigumi fans wouldn't necessarily like Chigi for moving in, and admittedly I have a "troupe bias" in my own way as well. But I think there's a difference between genuinely finding or not finding merit in someone's performances, and just petty jealousy.

I hope you find out more about Chigi, maybe even something you like :)
Beth Winter: Star Wars - queenbwinter on May 29th, 2010 07:04 am (UTC)
Quite the reverse - I like what I've seen of her (well, a couple of clips), and was hoping for your opinion of her skills, since she's Cosmos in origin :) I'm of the opinion that Yuki's a bit thinned out at the moment (all those retirements!), and I'm very happy that for example, they got the cream of the 96ths.

(And I'm sorry if it came out with a different inflection than I intended. English isn't my first language, and when I'm busy, nuances sometimes escape me.)

Don't worry about your wording ♥ I actually wouldn't have even guessed that you're not a native English speaker!

and was hoping for your opinion of her skills, since she's Cosmos in origin :)

Chigi... well, I'll say first that she's not an amazing singer. ^^;;; But she can dance, and her acting is solid -- she's got a big presence packed into a small body. ;) But I almost think Kimu, who's not terribly tall herself, might end up with a short partner and nibante?

Back to Chigi, she tended to do a lot of upbeat / goofy characters in Soragumi, but I think especially with the Bow lead Yukigeshiki they're letting her test herself and try more things. That show was great ♥

and I'm very happy that for example, they got the cream of the 96ths

*beams* ^_____^

Thanks :) She sounds very promising - my copy of Solferino/Carnivale actually just came, but I haven't had time to watch it yet ^^;

I guess I'll see for myself - exchange rates permitting, we're planning on visiting Japan in October/November. Last time Yukigumi was the only troupe we didn't catch, so this time we're timing it so that we can catch three of their shows - I have a feeling at least one of those Bow Halls may have Chigi as the lead.

Kimu!!!! YEA!! I was hoping that would be the case. The only other option I thought of was transferring Tomu. I'm glad that didn't happen.

top!Kimu YESSSSSS.

Hmmm...not necessarily a transfer if it's not Mimi maaaybe Ayu? She does have a few more years on her belt. Then again you can never tell with Hankyu.

Do people find her annoying? I like her... >.>
Julie: kimu reflectionwao_wao on May 29th, 2010 12:29 am (UTC)
It's not about whether I (or anyone else) likes Ayu better than Mimi.

It's that when they announce a top otokoyaku without a musumeyaku partner, chances are high that the partner will be a transfer. :\
ayansai: Aosetenaayansai on May 29th, 2010 04:22 am (UTC)
Ah I see. I was about to mention Ume and Marimo, but they were also transfers. DOH.

Who could it be?! *flails*
