ニューヨークラプソディー(-君に歌う愛-)
I take back what I said, that the company probably isn't serious about Otoha Minori.

http://kageki.hankyu.co.jp/revue/189/cast.html

A role-switch, huh. Between her and Kaga Ririka (and another one for MiyaRuri / Shiiran).

Suspicious, Hankyuu. Very, very suspicious.

(Also, what is it with Suzuki-sensei re-naming characters to/from "Jake" XDDDD;;;;)

We've also gained a second subtitle, -君に歌う愛- "I Sing My Love for You"? "The Love I Sing to You"? Votes?

...I guess it's too early to tell if either of those musumeyaku roles is a "lead", or if it's both, or what...

Tacking on news from yesterday: Seri is back to her role in Pimpernel (3日間お疲れ様でした, Karan-chan!♥), and I translated the descriptions from the Sabrina character map and put them on the Wiki.

I wonder if they use role-switches as a way to sell more tickets. The fans will have to see both versions.

And if I had any doubt left about Seara being off the star track I guess this settles it. :-( Starting to like musumeyaku after they leave shinkos is really a depressing endeavor.

This occurred to me too. But my pessimistic side says, "if it was only that, then they could just switch the otokoyaku." I somehow doubt switching young, semi-pushed musumeyaku with no fanclubs to speak of really improves ticket sales *that* much.

Starting to like musumeyaku after they leave shinkos is really a depressing endeavor.

Don't even get me started. T______T;;;

I don't know, most of my friends seem to want to see both leads? Haruko and Ririka are both pretty well-loved by Hoshigumi fans. (Especially Haruko, and I know at least a couple of people are going to see Haruko in a different role rather than Ririka in the lead, but still.)

Mm. We'll see how it affects overall ticket sales, I guess.

Maybe...it might also just be a way to push both musumeyaku. Like you said, the otokoyaku switch can boost sales, but anyone who goes to see the otokoyaku will see the musumeyaku in a couple roles and get to know them. A good way to stretch acting muscles and introduce talent to the audience, maybe?

That was what I meant in the first place. They're testing the two musumeyaku.

I thought that too, about Seara, but on the other hand, she got the nibante musumeyaku role in "Jose and Carmen." She's never going to be top but she's not being forgotten either.

If she wants to stay in Zuka, she probably has a career like Kotokoto or Minami-san or Akane-san (Hanase Mizuka) or Kaori-chan (Haruka Midori) ahead of her, with notable roles every few plays and spots in specials like "Takarazuka Beauties" or Isobella salon concerts, so we should be seeing plenty of her. If she wants to act outside Zuka, she's getting plenty of exposure to build a career on.

(This is how I deal with the suck of loving non star-track musumeyaku...)

hmmmmmm, I'd vote for "The love I sing to you" ^^
