I'm optimistic and go at my own pace.

I go at my own pace too much. I tend to forget things.

Tell us about something that happened during the Music School exams.
I was excited, sort of rushing around the waiting room, chatting with lots of people. The rest of the time I was captivated by the beauty of my classmate Asumi Rio who was one number before me.
During the interview for the second part of the exam, I was asked "are you still growing?" and when I answered with an enthusiastic "yes!!", then heard the examiner idly say "you seem more suited to a musumeyaku..." I was shocked and thought I'd failed.

Tell us about something that happened during a show to leave a strong impression on you.
In a certain show... I was sweating so hard that right before my turn to go on one of my eyelashes came off! There was no time to go somewhere and put it back on, so I hurriedly put it in my pocket and went out, but when I got out on the bridge, trying not to be discovered by the audience members, I opened my eyes as wide as I could and danced. When I got back to the wings and went to take the eyelash out of my pocket, again because of how much I was sweating it had gotten crumpled and looked like a centipede! :-O But it was a quick change and I didn't have time to go to the dressing room and get one, so with nothing else to do I somehow put on the centipede eyelash and went out for the next scene. Ever since then, I put on my eyelashes forcefully. ^^;;

What's interesting about otokoyaku?
Being able to experience both sides of a man and a woman, when you live only once.

If you were to play a female role, what kind of role would you like to do?
Elisabeth. I think it would be fascinating to play the lifespan of one character. Also, Brisa from Nova Bossa Nova. I want to try doing a passionate dance.

What have you been told lately, regarding the stage, which made you happy?
Watching my performance, I've received comments like "you've cheered up" and "you can try hard even when the work is tough" and "you've got power". According to those words, I can try hard. :-D

Books you've read, CDs you've listened to, DVDs you've seen, shows, concerts, movies or other things you've seen recently?
In my addiction to Johnny Depp, I've watched Finding Neverland and Arizona Dream. And of course, I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 in the theater!! I even bought the collection book...

What do you do to recover if you're down?
I sleep for a day, then I'm all right!!
