On the Subject of Alice-chan and Boots
Two people emailed me today to report on Alice-chan's boots.

Apparently I have completely failed to communicate the number of times I have seen Alice-chan in boots. Looking back, I wonder if this is partly because I was still making voice posts during ParaPuri, and hardly anybody listened to them. :P

Practically every time I've seen Alice-chan since October, she's been wearing boots. Very often these are one of two pairs of black boots, at least one of which laces all the way up. (I thought she had two pairs like this, and distinguished them in my mind by the shape of the heel/toe, but lacking photographic evidence I'm starting to wonder if there's only one pair of lace-up boots.)

Anyway, at the very VERY least I know I mentioned them here.

I seem to have fallen behind on Alice-chan Outfit Reports in general, so this time it's アリスちゃんの格好 総集編 (I love the word "soushuuhen" way too much). ;)

10/23/08: Black T-shirt with "Barbie" on it in pink lettering. Black suede jacket. Pink scarf adorned with cloth flowers. Cream-colored shorts with thin plaid stripes; nude hose, black boots. Gray hat, hair lightly curled underneath.

10/24/08: Black leather jacket. Black hat. Gray skirt with pink plaid lines. Black boots. Black scarf with pink and green hearts on it.

10/31/08: Pink dress made of a fuzzy, soft-looking material with a bit of maroon lace at the bottom. Burgundy tights. Light brown knee-high boots. Brown leather jacket with lots of straps and zippers. Small, round pink accessory in her hair on the left side. Hair styled and curly. Beautiful makeup. (Sans jacket, this is the outfit she wore for Opera Glass Eye, and I know this is the day it was filmed because she told me so :3).

11/2/08: Red plaid dress, black turtleneck underneath. Plaid earrings. Black hat, black boots. Club wear (light gray sweatshirt). Minus wear but plus Adorable Tiny Hat, you all should know this as her Mura ochakai outfit -- because this was Mura ochakai day.

11/10/08: Pink and black dress over jeans. The pink scarf with the cloth flowers again.

1/6/09: Black coat trimmed with fake fur at the cuffs and lapels. Black lace-up boots. Hair in a ponytail.

1/8/09: Fluffy leopard-print coat, short and open. Underneath, a warm-looking light blue turtleneck with pink diamonds across the front. Beige two-layered skirt, burgundy tights, beige boots. Hair in a braid going around the back of her head, with that circular pink accessory.

1/12/09: White fluffy coat. Lavender miniskirt. Hair in a braid going around the back of her head.

1/14/09: Black coat with the fake fur. Black hose and black lace-up boots. A cute black and white hair accessory. Very pretty makeup.

1/21/09: White fluffy coat. Gray short pants. Black boots. Hair in a ponytail held by a white scrunchie.

1/23/09: Black down coat. Cream-colored shorts with thin plaid stripes, black knee-high lace-up boots. Hair in a braid going around the back of her head, and at least on the right side she had a sparkly pin above the braid.

1/27/09: Black coat. Pink turtleneck. Gray skirt, black boots.

2/13/09: Black trilby. Black puffy jacket lined with fake fur. Black lace-up boots.

2/14/09: White fuzzy trilby, white jacket. Purple plaid skirt, black boots.

3/8/09: Black down coat. Hair in a bun, held by a pink scrunchie.

3/12/09: Black down coat, thin black scarf. Light pink shirt. Two-layered gray skirt hemmed with black. Bluish-black stockings, black boots. Hair in a braid around the back of her head.

3/15/09: Black down coat, black shirt with Tweety picture in yellow sequins. Black miniskirt, black hose, black boots. Music note earrings.

3/22/09: Black coat, thin black scarf. White blouse, cream shorts with the plaid stripes, black lace-up boots.

3/24/09: Beige jacket, white blouse. Beige skirt and boots. Hair in a ponytail on the right side, held by a pink scrunchie.

4/5/09: Black sweatshirt, thin black scarf. Purple plaid dress over jeans. Black high heels. Hair in two buns.

And today (err... 4/6/09), this report from sumire_no_hana: Otokoyaku-like boots (knee-high lacing up the front) and tight jeans or similar pants. Didn't see her shirt but it looked like a black shirt over a grey one in an otokoyaku-like style.

It seriously looked like she borrowed an otokoyaku's wardrobe. All very rock-y.

Then her hair was bound up so it wasn't hanging at all.

That plus the way she walked and carried herself... very otokoyaku-like.

There. I think I can rest my case on the subject of "Alice", "black" and "boots". :P

What did Mii-chan's Phoenix Wright clubwear look like, do you know?

(May be pondering time to join the Mii-chan club...)

I don't know for sure in the case of Phoenix Wright, but usually when it's a smaller show (aka non-Grand Theater), all of the clubs wear the same thing, and it's chosen by the lead otokoyaku.

And you should join Mii-chan's club. She's so cute <333333

At least according to my club and Teffy's club, it was a beige corsage with a crystal center for all the clubs.

Aww... pretty. Any word on Bara Furu clubwear, other than Alice's lovely scarf??

Our is, and I quote the email from my daihyou, a hot pink parka. *shakes head* The only upswing is that I have avoided the burning desire to purchase said item despite not needing it.

Ay me. I'm guessing the roses in the title are pink ones then...
Ms. Britt: [daixalice]ladybretagne on April 6th, 2009 07:26 pm (UTC)
It does definitely seem that way. If not, I have no explanation for the HOT PINK PARKA. *giggles*

Isn't a parka sort of unseasonable for April/May?
Ms. Brittladybretagne on April 6th, 2009 07:36 pm (UTC)
I certainly think so, but I know there have been times before when people's clubs said their club wear was a parka and it was actually more like a wind breaker, so we'll see.

"Parka" in Engrish terms means any sort of loose cotton or synthetic overwear. Our wear for Gatsby was a "parka" and was really more a light overshirt.

As Britt said, the Phoenix wear for all clubs was a beige / cream-colored silk flower with a clunky white rhinestone in the center. It... wasn't particularly attractive. ^^;;;

I'm not chummy with anyone in Mii-chan's club, so I can't report on their new wear yet, but you can expect a full list once BaraAme starts!!

Yay for Alice-chan and her boots (you know that I love spunky musumeyaku <333), but why are you awake?????
Ms. Britt: [daixalice]ladybretagne on April 6th, 2009 07:08 pm (UTC)
The hilariously adorable thing is that I swear she and Dai-chan must go shopping together constantly because their taste is so very similar. Seriously, your angel is ridiculously adorable.

That's a lot of black O_O But Alice manages to pull it off without looking emo, which is really a testament to her angelic status XD And she gets *many* points for lace-up boots! ^____^
