I guess it was bound to happen.
After I just said in my last post that I wouldn't be able to go to maeraku...

I dreamed about seeing the sayonara show on maeraku.

I was there with my mom, not my darling, unfortunately... But we were sitting in row 21, aka right up against the horizontal aisle -- and near the left vertical aisle, the one 'siennes are wont to run up and down.

The only parts I really remember are 1) a non-Soragumisei being there (wtf Miwacchi), 2) Rin-chan being featured in a "distracting you while the important people are changing costumes" number (wtf random baby)...

...And the part with the 85ths.

Eriko, Masami and Masako (sorry Ecchan, I don't know why my dream left you out :\). They were all wearing black costumes, as I recall.

Eriko danced with Masami, and then Masako and Eriko danced together.

After which Masako came up the aisle.

Even in my dream I was like "what the heck, why is Masako going through the audience instead of Eriko..." But I was still excited, because she was coming right toward us. The people behind us went crazy, which made me feel a little bold too and I shouted out "Masako-saaaannn!!" and waved as she went past us.

THEN Eriko came up to the aisle.

But she wasn't making the crowd scream... No, she was giving a speech as she walked through the audience. Again, even in my dream I wondered why this was happening, but who was I to argue?

When she passed by our section, I think the people behind us were being a little loud again... maybe just with sniffling. And I may have whimpered "Eriko-san..." quietly. As she was getting close to the right aisle, she said something in her speech about "the last time", and I said softly to my mother "but it's not the last time, Eriko, you're going to do this again tomorrow." That's how I knew it was maeraku in my dream.

The only other part I remember from her speech is something about Susshii-san and wine. ^^;;;

As Eriko was about to go back up the stairs to the stage, a little girl ran up to her with a letter and wanting an autograph. Everyone was too overcome with emotion to tell her to go back to her seat, and I'm pretty sure Eriko obliged her.

That was all.

I found out, by the way, that Alice-chan isn't going to be in the sayonara show. I guess with 10 people retiring, maybe they only want a couple of other principals stars, plus baby background singers / dancers...?

Whatever. It's a good thing and a bad thing.

Wonderful dream. It makes sense that your subconscious would mourn in its own way, I think, and hopefully help you along with it.

It makes sense that Alice-chan won't be in the goodbye show because of all the people retiring, like you said. Also, with Masami going, she's going to be getting even bigger musumeyaku roles in the future most likely. Looking at the TakaWiki, she's the only "shin-musumeyaku" left in soragumi except for Sumireno Rei.

As a fan of hers, I'm choosing to take this as her chance to rest before Bigger Things come her way. :)

I appreciate your optimism. ♥ I've probably been too cynical lately.

I would have to disagree, though, about up-and-coming musumeyaku in Soragumi. In this show Aihana Chisaki has a bigger role than Alice-chan, and Junya Chitose gets almost as much stage time in the revue half. I feel pretty confident that neither of them have as much total experience and talent as Alice-chan, and that there's no one else suitable to be nibante musumeyaku, but I'm very interested to see what happens in the impending regime change.

Anyway, it seems my previous information was incorrect and everyone will be in the sayonara show, including Alice-chan. ^^;;;

This dream, especially the part with the little girl ... it makes me "awww" and sigh...
