It was funny... Right before I looked in the back of Graph I thought to myself, you know, hasn't it been a while since they had one of those "fresh young otokoyaku" covers--

With Miwacchi. Which I find hilarious, because basically the only thing they have in common is both playing Oscar in the same crappy version of Berubara: Andre.

(Ironically while Kacha is tied with Mirio for being the youngest on a cover this year... Miwacchi has the *highest* school year of the lot. She's proper sanbante now; she should be right at the level of having a cover shoot with a nibante or top musumeyaku or something... But instead she's sharing it with a quickly-rising but definitely "young" star. What does THAT mean?)

Anyway. Hah. It's finally come around to me. That feeling of "so proud of you, baby, but at the same time not sure about all this sudden attention".

(Oh, also of note -- since Chigi didn't count because she was moved to Yukigumi, this makes Kacha the first Soragumi "young star" to do a cover shoot. ^^)

Really need to write that "I don't get it, Hankyuu" post tomorrow.

And scan at least 1/5 of October Graph (Alice-chan, Mii-chan and Chigi ALL doing "My School Days" at the same time! Micchan "Let's Go Backstage"! Amusing stories in the Yuuhi Special Feature!☆)

I love Kacha but I do worry about her being pushed so fast. She should have some time to finish growing up and all!

That she has enough of a fanbase and the star-track shinko leads to pressure the company into giving her exposure, but she's too old / not popular enough to figure into the company's long-term plans?
It's what they're doing with Tomochin. *shrugs*

It's odd, though, because all the other young stars on Graph covers this year -- Makkun, Kaname, Masaki, Tomomin, Chigi, Mirio -- are obviously VERY much in the company's good books and rising quickly. No other girl has been in that really "lukewarm" category (I wondered about Tomomin a bit, but now I don't). I mean, I think a cover is a BIG deal, and they wouldn't give it to someone they weren't serious about.
