Yukigumi news... it came.
Solferino roles are out! I butchered some of the names (French, Italian and British...?) Please, anyone, feel free to fix them.

Plus the shinko principles: Sakina x Ayucchi in the leads (CUTE), Hokaze Narumi nibante (okay...) and Gaori sanbante.

Gao-chan... :\

The List is not as bad and yet far worse than I'd imagined.

Retiring along with Yumiko are:

Mirai Yuuki
Jin Reika
Ootsuki Sayu

and Takaho Shuu retired today.

Hugs to everyone, but especially the Yukigumi fans, and the musumeyaku fans. T___________T ♥

*edits2* I tried to be pretty detached about this, but the more I think about it the worse I feel.

*edits3* In place of Hamako, Asaki Yumemi will be the next fukukumichou after April 25th.

There was already a huge gap between kumichou and vice-kumichou (Naga-san, you're amazing *______*), but Yumemi is the same year as Kimu. The harsh reality of upperclassmen depletion shows in Yukigumi as well.

And won't that be ironic when Kimu becomes top.

Why is that bad?
Julie: alice kochou arrowswao_wao on December 26th, 2009 05:53 am (UTC)
Because Gaori lost her chance at another shinko lead to a 92nd... And there was a rumor about her retiring, which apparently wasn't true.

Not retiring is good, isn't it?

I might not be in Japan, so I don't know the rumours, I just know my impression of my troupe... to tell the truth, I think it was rather a surprise Gaori managed to get a Shinko lead just in time. Not that she's bad, I think she absolutely deserved it and I was so happy when it happened. But Saki... Saki is close to becoming Yukigumi's Makaze, I think. She got named roles very early, and now she gets a shinko lead as a ken-4.

Furthermore, Yukigumi has that funny habit that except Kimu, no otokoyaku got more than two shinko leads during the last ten years. Even Kaname got only two. Koma got two, Piroko got two (what actually rather surprised me, but made me quite happy), Seshi got one, and so forth. Kaname and Seshi were the last one to get her last possible Shinko lead, from what I recall. Koma for example was Hamako in her last one.

I'm sorry I'm babbeling.
I must distract me and the fact that everyone is for once talking about Yukigumi is a good chance to do so. ;_;

I'm keeping myself from swearing by the knowledge that it tends to offend people in this fandom.

I was literally thinking as I loaded the homepage, "Hmm, yukigumi, I don't know them as well these days. I suppose I don't need the wailing and the ashes unless Nacchan retires."

...remind me never, EVER to tempt fate like that????

And I'm tempted to just erase my entire "Favorite Musumeyaku" list from my TakaWiki profile. It's just bad luck!!!!

Ugh, I was just thinking tonight that I should write Nacchan. Now I really should write Nacchan.

And Hamako? That's just not fair!

Hamako......;_; Iwould have thought she'd stay around for the long haul..... *whimpers* At least I'llstill have Kitarou (and Kimu, I suppose) as incentive to see yukigumi

Okay, I'm very done with '09. Why Nacchan?! Why Hamako?!!

...by the end of this year Kimu and Yumemi will be the oldest Yukigumi actresses - and they're 84ths. At this rate there will be no troupe left >_

I have to admit I was kind of braced for Hamako, when her name was listed along with all the stars in the early lead role list. Just seemed a little too high-level for the kinds of roles she's been getting lately.

But it's kind of nice -- After Mizu retires I won't have to feel guilty about missing Yukigumi all the time. ;)

Business post
I've humbly fixed the Italian and Austrian names according to my experience and the help of my high school History book. I didn't fix the title link of the page (maybe I'm just silly, but I don't want to mess with the main link), tho' the correct word is "Carnevale" (just as in the chirashi) and not "Carnavale" (Italian pride bigger than translitteration rules). I hope I did something useful.

Re: Business post
Thank you for your input. Did you check the names against the katakana before making changes? For example, I wrote Renjou Makoto's role as "Magniani" because the katakana name is "Maniyaani" (マニヤーニ), not just "Manyaani".

Anyway, thanks for pointing out the title misspelling -- I fixed, and now we'll need to go and change all the back-links. ^^;;;

Re: Business post
Lol, yes I've checked the katakana. This is why I wasn't sure if I could operate or not, in most cases I just pretend I'm not Italian and come to terms with mistakes (like "Lucheni" being pronounced "Luchini" -_-' ). But in this case the only controversial ones are "Magnani" and "Pollino" and I'm pretty sure the correct spellings are the ones I've used. It is an historical fact that most Italian soldiers at Solferino and San Martino came from Southern Italy and "Pollino" and "Magnani" are very common surnames in Southern Italy ("Pollino" is also the name of a national park, and "Magniani" would be a "misspelling" mistake in current Italian).

Emotional post
Well, it's just the "lowering of age" strategy starting to show its side effects. I am positive the Powers That Be do have a plan about lowering the average age of fandom by lowering the age of stars and using some other devices like picking the Tops from the bunch of girls more lovable by younger people. Maybe I was just deceiving myself when I made this theory up, and maybe it's all about slacking managers, but there are so many phenomena out there that can only be explained as parts of a masterplan. I don't want to bore you with my cogitations, but this "vice-kumichou" case looks so much like one of these phenomena to me...

Re: Emotional post
Actually, this is exactly what I've been thinking for awhile. They want more young people fans, so they're probably lowering the average ages of the stars, too.
That kinda makes me sad though, because I love the older women and the talent that can sometimes only come with time. You know?
But I can totally see them doing this. I mean I already see it happening... unless it really is just something we're making up in our heads. I don't know. XD
