Today is Yukigumi shinko day. Good luck, Yuki babies!

I wonder if Something will finally be announced on Thursday. I wonder if it really will be Ami-chan. I... don't know what to think anymore.

I wonder if Chiko-chan will get back to me after shinko is over...

And I wonder when Tokyo ticket results will be announced for Roget. Aren't they a little behind, considering it's this late in the day now...?

To make this post less boring, here's that new meme from violet_tango.

1. Comment and name the actress you want me to comment on. I'll comment back a few lines about what I have to say about her, as in what I like about her, my favorite role of her and so on.

2. If you comment, post this in your own journal, so that others have a chance to ask you as well.

Are you going to Yuki shinko?

::edit:: Also, now that poor Mika's father has died, do you think there's any chance they'll figure out a way to let her stay?

Unfortunately not. I'm using all my vacation days to go to Tokyo. T______T;;;

do you think there's any chance they'll figure out a way to let her stay?

It doesn't work that way, I think. :(

Makes sense, absolutely, that you would do that. (I hope there are better Mii-chan pictures from Tokyo)

I just keep thinking... since they haven't announced her successor... I feel so bad for her.

Interesting idea you have there... still, I think it would be the first time ever for something like that to happen, and even if I don't really believe that, after her father's illness became known, she said in an interview that there is no connection between that and her retirement.

To tell the truth, I wish I were like this.
It would be the best decision for everyone and everything, of course given that it would be what Mika would want herself.

As I said earlier, I am usually open towards anything, but Ami becoming top star would seriously make me angry. Not because of her, but much rather because it would be awfully irresponsible, given that she's definitely not long enough in normal rehearsal and stage performances to know in any way how she reacts to the pressure and stress that is usually connected to this, plus just in general... gah. No. Too early. Seriously. Gah.

Concerning the meme... Shizuki Asato. :P

You don't need to tell me. You don't need to ask how I feel; I think you should know by now. ^^;; It's just that the more time passes the more I can't understand what they're waiting for, unless... Unless it's her. :( Despite how irresponsible, offensive and idiotic it would be. I know.

*sighs and waits*

On Zunko: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ What is there not to love about Zunko?? Irrespective of the fact that it was Soragumi, when I first saw images / clips of her Death I thought I WANT THAT ONE more than all the others. She's still my favorite Der Tod ^_____^ Such a hauntingly beautiful voice, and such inhuman coldness juxtaposed with moments of burning passion *_______*

She was our first top; she took Soragumi upon her shoulders even if she had never expected to have that responsibility. She gracefully "shared" O-Hana with Wao in numerous love triangles. She has become a stunning and fabulous OG, and at the same time very a warm and motherly sempai to Soragumisei.

...And did I mention the VOICE and the PASSION and THE VOICE?!?!? ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Zunko-san, I bow to your awesomeness m(_______)m

I'm sorry :(
I am so nervous myself and just wish they would find the best decision for everyone.

Ami is so cute in these pictures, but I hope to at least have a chance to get to know her. ;_;

I love your comments on Zunko, and many of these things I can second, exactly like this. She was my first Takarazuka love, and even if Wataru and Tonami managed to surpass her a little as my favourite OGs, she is so special to me, and she will always have a special place in my heart.

Meme-wise, how about Nagina Ruumi?
Julie: alice kacha je chantewao_wao on July 13th, 2010 04:20 pm (UTC)
Kacha. Oh god, if you asked me to write a NOVEL about her I probably could ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

She was one of the first Soragumi babies to grab me, way back when I saw Understudy -- her mischievous character, adorable face and fluffy hair were irresistible. She falls very solidly into the category of Julie's Type, and she's had so many memorable bit parts from her debut onward that I was quickly spotting her everywhere. I made tons of screencaps / clips and my love for her only increased with them.

Technically the first time I saw her live would have been in my first live show, "Never Say Goodbye". At the time I was too busy bawling over Wao and Hana to appreciate / notice her at all, but I certainly did in later viewings of the DVD. Then there was the Valencia shinko and the fluffy hair again and the sami-flamboyant character of "Don Juan", and I couldn't have been more thrilled.

Then there was "Junjou". I unexpectedly started crying during her duet with Amachaki. I hadn't seen Soragumi live for a year, and in that year Kacha had become one of my very favoritest people in the entire company.

And then seven months later there was suddenly the Elisabeth announcement, and the press conference. But before she was stolen away to Tsukigumi, I got to see her in Berubara.

It was her Oscar that really clinched it once and for all. Suddenly Kacha was doing a role with emotional turmoil and depth and levels that shouldn't have even been there for how little stage time Oscar got in our crappy Berubara. In one scene I saw so many emotions pass clearly over her face and I knew, THIS GIRL CAN ACT.

I also knew she could sing, although low notes are not her forte -- so I was prepared to fully support her Elisabeth. To be honest it was a very trying time for me, being so full of love but also sick with worry for Kacha. Her Elisabeth will never be The Best One, but I was overcome with pride and admiration at what she accomplished despite so many hurdles.

It took *much* too long for her to come back to us, but when Casablanca finally came around I got to see her in her one and only shinjin kouen lead, the shinko talk *and* I attended her ochakai. Her offstage self is everything I would have imagined -- very dedicated when it comes to acting and highly critical of herself, but warm to her troupe-mates, charismatic and funny.

And then "Je Chante". The be-all-and-end-all; one of the most precious times, the most precious performance I have had the good fortune to experience. There are kind of no words. Her singing. Her humor. Her joie de vie. Her radiant, radiant smiles, and the precious, precious tears she cried over my angel. She shared the lead with the girl I love best, and proved herself to be an outstanding partner. The place she holds in my heart for that show alone is unmeasurable.

Even now I find myself tearing up just watching her. To see the powerful subtlety and skill of her acting is arresting. To see that light in her eyes is positively inspiring.

That. All of that, and ten times that, is why I love Kacha. ^_____________^

I'm tearing up a bit myself, reading this ^^;

The one time I had the opportunity to see her live, she just threw herself so so deeply into the role. She's not the best vocally, but acting-wise, for me - she's the one who isn't "Takarasienne playing Elisabeth", but 100% the headstrong, tomboy, tragic, trapped historical Elisabeth herself. She took what was happening to her and made it into something beautiful.

Plus she has a smile that'll light your life. When I think back to the moment I talked to her, I'm just filled with deep gratitude to her and her fanclub for their kindness.

Agreed completely. I won't argue that Kacha was the best Elisabeth that Takarazuka has ever seen, but I really, really liked the awkward tomboy quality that she brought to the role.

As I recall I was rather bemused when I heard that a seito a year below the top star was going to be kumichou of Tsukigumi... But what a kumichou she's become :D She's the leader any troupe would want to have -- talented, sharp, commanding, not to mention smexy. X3

I guess technically the first memorable role I saw her in must have been Big Jule's right hand man in "Guys & Dolls"? And I remember Parkins from "Ernest in Love", and have heard good things about her role in "Hollywood Lover", not to mention Aunt Eller...

But it's really been since I saw her live that my opinion jumped from "I can see why other people like her" to OH MY GOD. Negro Rosa was definitely "oh my god is she trying to kill the fangirls ♥___♥" And then to get Claudius and Robespierre back to back this year... Nghsdfjkl especially Claudius. I think Claudius!Ryuu-san will be the lasting image that remains with me.

Tsukigumi is very lucky to have her ^___^

Moeka Yuria ?

Yuria! Oh gosh, she grabbed me in Tsukigumi's "Young Bloods!!" and I've been wishing to see her get more to do ever since. She seems like my type of musumeyaku, spunky and also the potential to be sexy ;) I was glad that she got to play Helene in "Elisabeth", and SUPER happy that she was Shimon's girlfriend in Pimpernel ♥ ♥ ♥

I can't really say "she's good at ____ and _____" because I haven't seen her enough, but basically I support her and want to see more of her!!

Wataru-san was in the second show I ever saw, Soragumi '98 Elisabeth. Her Extremely Insane brand of Lucheni instantly became a standard which all other Luchenis have failed to surpass for me.

Plus, of course, Wataru was one of the founding members of Soragumi and contributed roles such as Andrew the Gay Bard (whose outfit TamaTama totally stole for the opera bit in Trafalgar lol), Escamillio, Richard the Druggie Crime Lord, etc. Even the crack-fest that was Tempest overflowed with Wataru-Brand Awesome.

Wataru-Brand Awesome is that huge and powerful presence she radiates all the time. Her voice is... well, admittedly an acquired taste -- I accepted it early on. Her dancing is amazing (god, I could go on and on about the great dances she led in her Soragumi days...) She has a big smile and a big heart and a big FORCE; everything she does is LIKE THIS ◊☆◊^__________________^◊☆◊ She is also unstoppably crazy infectious offstage ;)

Other than what she did in Soragumi I also loved her Radames, and... let's see... AiSuru was touching, Across was fantastic, and... That stint in a mini-skirt for the '04 大運動会 was pretty unforgettable XD

It looks like she's gone on to be a fantabulously amazing OG, and I hope she never loses her spirit and love for attention the stage X3 Wataru ♥ ♥ ♥

I'm . . . I'm close to tears reading this <3333333333 :')

Wataru-san was in the second show I ever saw, Soragumi '98 Elisabeth.

Believe it or not, I may be a Tsuki fan, but that was the first version of Elisabeth I saw ;) Because I was a Wataru fan before becoming a Tsuki fan. And I'm JUBILANT that you love her Lucheni <333

Her voice is... well, admittedly an acquired taste -- I accepted it early on.

AHAHAHA true XDDD But I think her voice is S-E-X-Y <333

She has a big smile and a big heart and a big FORCE; everything she does is LIKE THIS ◊☆◊^__________________^◊☆◊

OMG, it's been SO VERY, VERY LONG since I met a fan who truly understands and loves Wataru-Brand Awesome . . . Just reading this seriously makes me SOOOOOO HAPPY *^_______^* <333333333333

Thank you so much for such beautiful answers! :'D

Trying to think of someone who I don't know your opinion on...

Kitori Mariya.
Julie: ayahana chika obscurewao_wao on July 14th, 2010 04:54 pm (UTC)
Like most people I was completely charmed by Mariya in "El Halcon". Juliette was the kind of role many young musumeyaku must dream of playing, and she just ◊◊beamed◊◊, and I wanted more.

"Hello! Dancing" and her number with Doi-chan showed me that This Girl Can Dance, another point in her favor. The same show plus bits of the El Halcon shinko put her singing quality in question, but I kept an open mind.

And then... And then...? I kept watching Hoshigumi but kept missing Mariya. From all of 2009 the only role I remember is the Young Asuka bit from "My Dear". :\

But this year she got to be a beautiful Dove with Doi-chan in Bolero ♥ Not to mention that scene in Hapsburgs where she finally did something memorable again ☆

I don't really understand what the company is doing with her now -- it seems sad to think that she's already been passed over when she's still so young. At the very least I'd like to see her stay and do character parts, to do *something* big again to make people remember her...

Anyway, she seems like a cool person offstage too :)
