How to, How to--!
I've been waiting for more show announcements :D

Kimu "How to Succeed", oh lord I almost SCREAMED. This show is so hysterically retro and funny...

...And I selfishly want Ayucchi for the lead again, even though I'm almost positive it will be Mimi >.>

*edits* Does it occur to anyone else that this is the fourth year in a row the July Umegei show has been a Western musical? o_O;; If you skip Asaki in '07 and go back to Copa in '06, that makes five... And then Tsuki Ernest in '05... Dude, why did I never notice this before O_O

And for the record, I'm pretty sure Kiriyan has said that as much as she liked doing the How to Succeed shinko, she'd rather develop new roles (as opposed to revisiting an old one). And that whenever she hears "Finch" , these days she obviously thinks of her dog XD

*edits again* And now I have the whole "J. Pierrepont~~!" "Rosemary~~!" bit stuck in my head ^^;;;

I am so ridiculously excited about this. It's the perfect show for her. I'm so glad to see her get all the olden goldies, first Dark Brown Eyes and now How to Succeed. It's amazing.

Like you I'm voting for Ayucchin. Really, really hoping.

Fun! Too bad Umeda is too far for me.

I wonder if they're going to do this as a Daigekijo as well this year or next year, since they've spent the money on the rights....

Mm, I don't think it's really a blockbuster hit like RomiJuri though. An amusing romp, to be sure, but I doubt they'd bring it to the Daigekijou again.

Still holding out fot Tsukigumi's next show? ;)

Mmm, with the hundredth anniversary coming up, who knows what they might yet do? *g* But I agree, and definitely not so soon as our summer Daigekijo.

But I wanna knooow. I doubt we'll get a third revue in a row, not with Tsuki's record of 2maku, but... it'd be so nice♥

Hey, don't give up yet <3 Kiriyan the Dancer could bring back a new era of 二本立て for Tsukigumi ;)

Oh how nice! I haven't seen the Hana version but it always looked like such a cute show. I agree Ayucchi would be perfect for that lead part, and I wouldn't even feel bad for Mimi or Ami because there's still Smitty, Hedy, and Miss Jones in that adorable flirting scene--plus the shinko. That said, the thought of Ayucchi as Hedy also makes me very happy. Sexy Ayucchi! Whoo!

Oh, oh, oh...who gets to be Frump?! Can't wait to see that part!

There's no shinko because it's Umeda, but I agree -- there are lots of other interesting roles for musumeyaku. :D (Perhaps even musumeyaku *besides* Ayucchi, Mimi and Ami-chan! Shocking!) But I wouldn't wish Miss Jones on any of them, because as I recall she was a black lady padded to look heavier in the '96 version... And for all that they've been doing better, I still don't 100% trust Zuka to portray black people >.>;;;

Hedy, on the other hand... Well, yeah, I'd also probably be willing to trade Ayucchi!Rosemary for Ayucchi!Hedy. Mmmm. *imagines*

And it seems that this show should be able to recruit all available musumeyaku, since there's nothing else for Yukigumi on the schedule... barring dinner shows or surprise performances like New York Rhapsody last year. (I wonder if they're canceling Paris Festivals for good, after not having one for 2010...?)
